In this 8-week program, we take my current weekly training split and work through 4 progressive periods to optimize for muscle growth / hypertrophy.
Weeks 1/2: adaptation phase (focus on form & mind-muscle connection)
Weeks 3/4: strength phase (lower reps, higher weight)
Weeks 5/6: hypertrophy phase (increase volume)
Weeks 7/8: max hypertrophy phase (add in dropsets & further increased volume to maximize muscle growth)
This is a 4 day / week training split (3 rest days), with optional 5 day and 6 day splits if you really want to ramp the training volume.
