Hi! I am Carman Wilken, aka whatsmomcookin. I am a self-taught home chef. I have had a passion for cooking since I was old enough to stand on a chair beside my grandma or my mom and help stir whatever dish was being made. Everything we did as a family revolved around food! I can still remember the smell of my grandparent’s house on holidays. It was like heaven, and I will never forget it. I am here to share easy, budget-friendly, and delicious recipes! I try to use ingredients and cooking methods that most households have access to. I want to encourage people who may not feel comfortable in the kitchen to just get in there and try! A recipe doesn’t have to be intimidating or difficult or have an ingredient list a mile long to be good! And cooking does not come with a set of rules! I want people to have fun, try new things, and enjoy dinners with their families.
